The Priestess of Morphine - Albany Pride
In THE PRIESTESS OF MORPHINE, composer Rosśa Crean and librettist Aiden K. Feltkamp create a beautifully haunting portrait of a Gertrud Günther, a young Jewish lesbian caught between her two selves during the Third Reich, who bravely sought her inner truth and passions while forced to live in the shadows.
The Priestess of Morphine #5 - Closing Night
Unwillingly addicted to morphine, Baroness Gertrud Günter von Puttkamer and her nom-de-plume Marie-Madeleine explore her sensuality and tumultuous story through the medium of contemporary opera.

FLOCK Festival | SOMEONE WILL REMEMBER US: A Showcase by Tenth Muse Initiatve
Someone Will Remember Us
A showcase of classical music performances from the past, present, and future—each piece being written by composers who have been marginalised or disempowered throughout history. A crash course on the diverse voices who can be overlooked in classical music, for reasons that have nothing to do with talent. Ranging from vocal music written by the Romantic period’s brightest stars that has never been professionally recorded, to a piece which combines contemporary saxophone with dubstep, this concert will have something for everyone.
Drug Aware presents: Symbiosis
In collaboration with Propel Youth Arts WA and Healthway, Tenth Muse Initiative have commissioned local word writers and sound makers to create shared work in response to the natural world.
These pieces were presented online as part of KickstART's WA Youth Week, and are now having their live debut. From reflections on integrating multiple selves to imagining a future where forests are forgotten due to urban sprawl, this diverse group of young artists have many stories to tell, through music, poetry, and more.
KickstART Festival - Symbiosis Cross-Disciplinary Showcase // Performance (Online Event)
Music and poetry collide, with new inter-disciplinary collaborations in response to place.
Pairing four composers / musicians with four poets / writers, Tenth Muse Initiative will collaborate over several workshop sessions, and piece together a shared work in response to the Youth Week WA 2022 theme in the context of nature.

Ugly Beauty: Celebrating 200 Years of Pauline Viardot
Pauline Viardot is often remembered for the incredible voice she possessed and noted for her (supposed lack of) beauty, but she was also a prominent composer of her era.
In our first concert of 2021, Tenth Muse will celebrate Viardot’s forgotten works on the 200th anniversary of her birth. Join us at ‘Ugly Beauty’ for an exploration of the whole person: composer, singer and influential figure — Pauline Viardot was so much more than her appearance (and influence on the men around her) and she deserves to be celebrated as such.
